Just a quick one today. If you are serious about skywatching or trying to capture anything decent with your camera, this site is absolutely essential.
I use Light Pollution Map to check the Bortle zones before I even think about packing the car. It is a total waste of time driving out to a spot only to find out the sky glow is going to wash out your footage. This map shows you exactly where the light ends and the real dark sky begins.
It saves fuel and saves frustration. Highly recommended.

ERS-1 (European Remote-Sensing Satellite-1)
Tracked with all available NORAD satellite data on Stellarium. Notice the linear movement as depicted by the red line — very characteristic of a satellite in orbit.
The ERS-1 was the first environmental monitoring satellite developed by ESA. The mission detected land and ocean surface change and provided observation data on oceans, polar ice, vegetation, geology, meteorology, and ecology.

Image intensifier tube Gen2 equivalent

I purchased this unit from the UK a while back for about $900~1000 (aud) it's a bit of a potluck with these unit's some of them may have issues or do not meet the necessary gain requirements or have defects on the screen, I feel I got lucky with this one!
DESCRIPTION
The P8079HP image intensifier serves as a high-performance direct substitute for the earlier P8076 and P8076FP devices. Specifically designed for night vision systems and various low-light applications, this unit is a self-focused image intensifier assembly. It integrates three fiber-optic-coupled electrostatic image intensifiers encased in silicone rubber, along with an e.h.t. multiplier, Automatic Brightness Control (ABC), and inverter circuits, creating a robust device. Operating on a single d.c. input at 6.75 V, with a maximum current consumption of 50 mA, the intensifier produces an inverted output image with an approximate unity geometrical magnification.
The tube incorporates the following key features:
• Extended Range: Night vision systems equipped with a P8079HP tube benefit from an extended range, as illustrated. This enhancement is a result of a significant development that has substantially improved the limiting resolution of the intensifier. In practical terms, this improvement can be up to 25%, allowing for target identification at distances of up to 2000 meters. However, this range is constrained by the lens capabilities of the night vision system.
• Flash Protection: It is widely recognized that image intensifiers can suffer permanent damage when exposed to high-intensity pyrotechnic flashes, such as those generated by ammunition exploding against a hard target. The P8079HP is specifically designed to offer ample flash protection, ensuring resilience against all known battlefield conditions without compromising other operational parameters.
• Increased Operating Temperature Range: Traditional intensifiers experience a significant decline in performance at temperatures exceeding 27°C, with gain dropping to less than 25% of its normal value at temperatures beyond 35°C. In contrast, the P8079HP maintains optimal operational performance up to 35°C.
• Prolonged Battery Life with Consistent Performance: Unlike older intensifiers that exhibit a continuous deterioration in performance as the battery voltage decreases over time, the P8079HP is engineered to uphold its operational performance even at input voltages as low as approximately 4.5V, as indicated on page 11. This design ensures an extended operational life for the user.

Triangle UAP *Updated*

The glowing triangle in the sky sparks curiosity — could it be man-made, reverse-engineered tech tinkering beyond our grasp? Or perhaps aliens with a quirky sense of humour, choosing April 1st?
Corroborating Account
According to Grusch's retelling of a witness's account of seeing a similar triangle-shaped craft, the paint on the witness's car roof was affected by what appears to be ionising radiation. These high-energy particles caused the paint to turn milky white within just 24 hours of exposure to radiation emitted from the underside of the craft.
Ionising radiation typically travels in a straight line from its point of emission and remains unaffected by gravity. One could therefore postulate that the craft had some form of radiators positioned on its undercarriage, as well as along other areas such as the outer edges.

A Theory on the Ionisation Effect
I have a theory about why the craft appears to be affecting its surroundings with air ionisation. I believe this effect is linked to the radiators positioned along the craft's outer edge. These radiators serve to dissipate the immense heat generated by its propulsion systems in the form of ionising radiation, which could involve either an antimatter/matter propulsion system or an alternative mechanism.
Whatever the mechanism, it appears to be exceptionally powerful, producing byproducts that disperse into the surrounding air and cause ionisation.

William Hamilton wrote: "I just returned from the Hi-Desert of Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree. I stopped in to say hello to an old friend who lives near Goat Mountain to the East, and beyond that is the 29 Palms Marine Base. My friends say they have seen a flying black triangle that has a blue glow around it and is hard to see against the night sky. It can do 90-degree turns, had a helicopter escort, and seems to be coming from the North Base at Edwards."
Perhaps the visual emission from the craft could be a direct observation of the effects of electromagnetic field manipulation, and/or a positive corona generated by high-energy conductors around the perimeter of the craft.

*FACEPALM*
The world has been a buzz with UFO/UAP information getting funneled down our throats by the media. They are acting very mature considering all they talk about are UFOs.
Unfortunately as mature as they want to appear handling these unknown things, with their big boy pants on it seems they forgot to leave the school yard Chinese whispers behind.
Every bit of information cropping up seems to have no credible information attached to what they are putting forward and seem only to serve as a hook or a grab at the ratings/viewers.
I speculate how long they can carry this on for because it will be putting a lot of money in their pockets, till their ratings go down & people lose interest.
I heard on one of the news reports that these objects travel any where from 11000mph or 17702kph & upward! WHERE THE HELL DID THIS INFORMATION COME FROM? WHY DON'T YOU USE IT IN CORRELATION TO THE SENSOR FOOTAGE?? OH WAIT IT CAME FROM SOME ONES MOUTH RIGHT.... Duh of Course you can't use it as evidence FFS see what I mean the media can dribble as much speculative crap as they want and it will only add fuel to the fire of belief and wonder
to line their filthy f$%# grub pockets ok... sorry got carried away there.
ah well I guess if it's in the media you can't really ignore it if you try so I guess it is getting out there into the worlds view but what good it will do if there is very little lackluster evidence released by the U.S. as speculated it probably wont satiate our curious, wondrous & explorative souls.

🔺I ordered this on the 25th December as a late Christmas present for myself, it looked quiet good and seemed affordable at the price of $184.00, it's delivery location was from Shenzhen, China.
I thought because it's from china it can't be that good, till I came to the realisation that all high-tech equipment parts and or devices are made in china.
I've had several nightvision devices in the past and all of them were in the range of $400 - $500 Aud, Will this device be the same or if not better for the price of $184?
📹📷🔠It boasts a video recording resolution of 750 x 560, when most if not all the digital night visions in the brand of YUKON or Bushnell only have devices that output 640x480 resolution.
📢 but not only that, the device comes with a free 8gb SD card as a freebie and has inbuilt audio recording!!, it wasn't actually displayed on the description I had to message the seller directly to see if the monocular would record audio. None of the digital brands of night-vision I have bought. Have had a single audio recording function only video output.
so I am super excited to receive the device in the mail some time soon, to do a proper review.
However this device seems to claim all these amazing features, that you would only get from a $700 device. Is it too good to be true? am I going to see the flaws in the false advertising and request a refund. Only a proper review will tell.
Above is some images taken claiming to be from the device, but to me that is absolute BS, clearly those images were taken in widescreen when the device only outputs 750 x 560.
I just have no Idea if this device, will have the potential to film the night sky with ample light amplification and a solid Frames Per second. It all comes down to this, as I plan to use the device to film objects that are moving around in the night sky.

Not long ago I came across a video of Jesus opening his eyes. My friend Alexi sent it to me, I was slightly terrified when watching it, but I knew there was something not right with the footage. It was eating at me. So I opened it with Sony Vegas and went frame by frame till I came across something quiet peculiar in the video!, something nobody would have seen unless they took time to further examine and zoom in on the video it's self. And so I did and here are the results.
1. Jesus is slightly out of focus when closing his eyes not masked by camera blur but more of an artificial video blur.
2. Jesus's face shrinks when he transitions from eyes open to eyes closed.
3. Video focuses within one frame after it was blurred, general auto focus on an Iphone focuses over several frames.
4. It's a statue!
Don't get me wrong Jesus is a pretty amazing guy, I could do with some of my water turning into wine right now! :')

6:42PM - South
Went outside at 6:07pm, got my equipment all set up, I brought two milk crates outside with me and stacked them on top of each other so I could place my laptop on them with my night vision besides it, so that I could record audio with the Bushnell.
I was frustrated as the clouds had gone but as soon as I went outside they re-appeared. They slowly dissipated again and I had clear view with no moon till about 7:20pm the full moon started to rise. I sometimes looked through the eyes piece sometimes I'd look around not seeing what was actually on the scopes view.
At about 6:42pm I was rolling a cigarette and totally missed these two objects with my eye! I was in dismay as I thought tonight was a bust, but as I was on Skype to Alexi drinking my shake I replayed the footage and saw to strange objects moving incredibly fast! I choked on my shake as I saw it, Alexi said "What's wrong man!! you OK?". I replied I just captured something!.
I had a look over the Satellite tracking Data for that time, and nothing I could possibly Identify was in that exact spot in the sky! Alexi said "It's definitely not birds that's for sure! wtf is that?" After recording this capture I'm going to try to pay as much attention as possible to my monocular as any thing you could be doing that occupy's your time for just a second you could miss something!
That is the orbital path of the Object, if it was in orbit or not that is still unclear to me.

I recently watched Vsauces new video about who owns what in space. There was a part in the video that struck not only me but Alexi and made us think, brought forth in the video was a mention about "if you killed an alien and cooked it up, would that be considered murder or hunting?" Alexi and I pondered on this, Alexi searched up the term murder and it only associates human killing it doesn't take into the account of any other species similar to human if found.
I thought that if any being that is able to communicate intelligently with us that they should create a new law in the event that other life is found and is at the same level as us technologically or if not more advanced that killing such a intelligent being should be considered murder. As the same rules apply to how we are and what we are that makes us unique from other life forms not capable of persevering things the way we do.
But then what also contradicted me was the fact that several animals on this planet have remarkable intelligence but yet they are protected in another way, by laws of hunting certain animals, so it's safe to assume that if any intelligent beings ever visited us or have, then killing them would result in some sort of punishment.
Which to me I would consider it to be murder. Any act of aggression towards a being that can communicate to the point to make that person aggressive should come under the same laws that we go by day to day. And that we remain peaceful, yet contradicted to my thought I also had a thought, that we kill each other on a daily basis like war for example, but those people do not go to jail after killing some one.
They get the title of hero and defender because they are lead to believe that their cause is just, and that justifies the mean of killing another human being in protection of an entire country.
It's kind of mind boggling but I'll let you think about the rest.

Launched January 19th 2006
Since 2006 the NASA'S New Horizons probe has been travelling to the outer edges of our solar system! it has taken it 9 years, give or take to reach the last celestial body in our solar system Pluto!
It is an amazing achievement that such a probe has withstood all that our solar system has thrown at it. As it gets closer and closer to Pluto, more surface detail will be captured by its inbuilt cameras. I don't know about you but I am overly excited about this! I feel a sense of achievement for humanity, Pluto is a planet that many in previous life times would relish being alive today to see this celestial body in all it's glory, and I am thankful that I will be able to admire it's beauty in this life time.
The New Horizon space probe as it floats further and further away, signals being sent and received from the probe will be delayed, so far it takes 4 hours to send and receive a signal from the probe, so you can imagine if the probe was 2 lengths of our solar system away that would double. So it gives you a kind of perspective on things and how minuscule we really seem.
Since the signal to input or receive data from the New Horizons probe is 4 hours give or take, that means 4 hours before the probe reaches it's closest approach to Pluto. The technicians at NASA will most likely have to make precise coordinated commands so that when the probe receives the input it will then 4 hours a head of time position it's self for several photo's of Pluto.
So if you think of it like, you're playing a game with a joystick and lets say your joystick is delayed with 10 second intervals as the system receives the input. So the object on the game reacts to movements and directions you've made but 10 seconds later.
Pluto has been so lonely out there, and we as a species even denied the fact that it was a planet at one point but more of a kuiper belt object, but it's fame and glory should be revealed soon. I wait in great anticipation to see this planet! I feel like a kid in a candy store.

Many variables come into capturing the Asteroid within a telescope or a thermal night vision scope. Like if it is visible from your hemisphere and or if it's closest approach happens to be day time where you are. But many of these things can be checked usually a couple days before the passing of the Asteroid/Meteors. Just keep your eyes on any updates.
